Start With the Real Problem
Mitos did not need another dashboard full of impressive charts. The hotel needed a simpler way to know what was actually happening in the business.
The owner wanted three things: a clear view of daily operations, easier data entry for staff, and reports he could trust. That sounds basic. In hotel operations, it is not.
"I have not seen anything that has made my life as easy as this particular software."
That line matters because it is not saying Janus is perfect. It is saying the software removed enough daily friction that the business became easier to see and easier to manage.
Before Janus, the Work Was Scattered
The old process worked, but it took too much effort. A sale could sit in a notebook. An expense could be typed into Excel while the receipt stayed in a separate file. A transfer needed someone to check the bank. A corporate invoice meant collecting dockets, summarizing bills, and typing out the final document.
Payment reconciliation was especially painful. Staff would submit screenshots or POS slips. Management had to check whether a POS slip was approved, whether it was a merchant copy, whether it was a reprint, and whether a claimed transfer had actually entered the company account.
That checking could not happen 24/7. So the hotel had to choose between delaying reconciliation or trusting payments that might later reverse or never arrive.
Payments
Manual proof checks
Expenses
Receipts lived apart
Invoices
Corporate billing was slow
Reports

What Changed After Janus
Janus did not only digitize the old workflow. It connected the pieces that used to drift apart: payments, folios, receipts, expenses, corporate invoices, reports, guest registers, and room access.
The value was not "connection" as a technical feature. The value was that the owner could trust the records faster.
Reconciliation
Claims have to match money
Guest folios
Balances became visible
Expenses
Proof stays with the record
Corporate billing
Invoices come from folios
Key control
Room access is easier to question
Reporting
The business is easier to read
The Result: More Confidence, Less Chasing
When asked what mattered most, the owner did not name one feature. He named three benefits: visibility, easier data entry, and reporting.
That is the point. Hotel software becomes valuable when it reduces the amount of operational guessing. Mitos can now see more of the business from one place: sales, expenses, reports, corporate billing, guest history, and access records.
Less forgotten expense
Phone-first
Expenses can be captured when they happen
Cleaner billing
One flow
Corporate invoices use stored guest and company records
Better control
Visible access
Guest register and key records are easier to inspect
"I am more confident. I do less work."
The tax benefit is also practical. Mitos wanted to avoid paying more tax than necessary and wanted the right documents ready for audits. Janus helps by keeping sales, expenses, receipts, and supporting records closer to the transaction.
"I am not giving it a 10 because there are no issues. I am giving it a 10 because I have not seen anything that has made my life as easy as this software."

The Honest Part: Some Controls Still Need Work
This case study should not pretend the system is finished. The interview surfaced clear work still to do.
Stock reconciliation needs to be dependable enough that shortages and excesses are real, not system noise. That matters because people should not be held accountable for losses caused by bad data.
Key control is also improving. Mitos wants alerts when extraordinary or non-guest key issuances happen, so management can check the environment quickly. Door access control also needs to move beyond the current partial implementation.
The standard is not "more reports." The standard is data accurate enough that staff and management can trust the accountability that follows.
Who Janus Fits Best
Janus is most useful for hotel leaders who want to stay close to the business. Not by sitting in reception all day, but by seeing the right information quickly.
The best fit is a CEO or manager who wants to monitor operations from a phone, cares about accurate records, and wants staff activity, sales, expenses, and reports in one working system.
Run the hotel with records you can actually use.
Janus helps hotels capture sales, payments, expenses, guest balances, key activity, corporate invoices, and reports in one place, so owners spend less time reconstructing the truth after the fact.
